Punto Banco Practices and Method
Punto Banco Regulations
Baccarat is bet on with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, although the beginning digit is dumped. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (five plus six = 11; dump the 1st ‘one’).
A third card will be given out based on the rules below:
- If the player or house has a value of 8 or nine, the two players stay.
- If the gambler has five or lower, she hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler stands, the banker takes a card on a value lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a chart is employed to decide if the banker stays or hits.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The greater of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the house pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal cash minus a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you leave the game so be sure to still have funds left just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)
Bet on properly baccarat chemin de fer provides generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Scheme
As with all games Baccarat has a handful of common misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of past results at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.
The most common and possibly the most acknowledged scheme is the one-three-two-six plan. This plan is used to build up winnings and limit losses.
Begin by placing one dollar. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. Should you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down 2 on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.
Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial wager followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the 1st 3 with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all four wagers gives you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to give up the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 rounds and still are even.
