Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under ten are of face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely symbolize the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 has a total of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card can be dealt depending on the following rules:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, each players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)
When done effectively, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and possibly most successful method is the one-3-two-six method. This process is used to amplify winnings and minimizing risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
