Baccarat Practices and Plan
Baccarat Banque Codes
Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, however the first digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus six equals eleven; ignore the first ‘1′).
A additional card may be dealt using the rules below:
- If the player or banker achieves a score of 8 or nine, both players stay.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on a total lower than 5. If the gambler hits, a table is used to see if the banker holds or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The greater of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (equal money less a five percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds around before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pay eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 versus 8:1)
Wagered on properly punto banco provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Scheme
As with all games punto banco has a handful of general misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and possibly the most accomplished method is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This tactic is used to build up profits and minimizing risk.
Start by placing one unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the game table, pull off 4 so you are left with 2 on the third bet. If you win the third round, deposit two on the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.
Should you lose on the initial wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a gain of two. And success on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Winning all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you are able to give up the second round 5 instances for every successful streak of 4 rounds and in the end, break even.
