Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are worth their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven and five produces a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, each players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Still, odds are far better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of prior conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-six concept. This method is deployed to maximize profits and controlling risk.

commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
