Punto Banco Practices and Method

Punto Banco Codes

Baccarat banque is played with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are valued at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the cards, but the first number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus 6 equals 11; ignore the 1st ‘1′).

A third card may be given using the rules below:

- If the player or banker gets a score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler holds, the bank hits on five or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is employed to figure out if the house stands or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The greater of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out when you depart the table so be sure to have funds remaining before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie typically pay eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one versus 8:1)

Played properly punto banco provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has quite a few accepted myths. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of future actions. Keeping track of past results on a chart is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and probably the most favorable course of action is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This plan is deployed to build up winnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you are left with 2 on the third round. Should you succeed on the third bet, put down 2 on the four on the game table for a grand total of six on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can give up the second wager five times for every favorable run of 4 wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
