Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are give a value of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 will have a value of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given out depending on the following protocols:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is an awful bet as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. be wary of wagering on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played properly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future actions. Keeping track of historic results on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six method. This process is deployed to magnify payouts and controlling risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
