Rules of Baccarat
Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just depict the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five gives a total score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful wager as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Still, odds are supremely better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played properly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of last results on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and possibly most successful technique is the one-3-2-six scheme. This process is employed to increase successes and minimizing risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
