Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards below a value of 10 are of face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely portray the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven … five has a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out eight to one and occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

When played accurately, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful method is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This tactic is used to pump up profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
