Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are said to be at their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just depict the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … five gives a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at eight to one and occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future results. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six scheme. This technique is used to maximize wins and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
