Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … 5 will have a total score of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are significantly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Keeping track of last outcomes on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six method. This plan is employed to accentuate winnings and lowering risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
