Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 will have a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the foll. practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Even so odds are substantially better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Played effectively, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 technique. This method is used to boost payouts and reducing risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
