Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are valued at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply appear as the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven and five will have a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a score of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are remarkably better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Monitoring of old outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-three-2-6 scheme. This process is deployed to pump up wins and reducing risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
