Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are counted at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 has a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. be wary of wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are supremely better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future results. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six concept. This process is used to amplify wins and reducing risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
