Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are said to be worth their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely portray the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 has a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are appreciably better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

When played properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Monitoring of last conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful method is the 1-3-two-6 scheme. This schema is employed to maximize earnings and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
