Punto Banco Principles

Punto banco is wagered on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the cards, however the first digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus 6 = 11; ignore the first ‘one’).

A third card will be dealt using the rules below:

- If the player or bank achieves a score of eight or nine, both players hold.

- If the player has 5 or lower, she hits. Players holds otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the house takes a card on a total less than 5. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to see if the banker stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house payout nineteen to Twenty (equal money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out when you quit the game so ensure you still have funds left just before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays out at 8:1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)

Bet on correctly baccarat provides generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games punto banco has quite a few established false impressions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future actions. Recording previous results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most successful method is the one, three, two, six plan. This technique is employed to pump up winnings and limit risk.

Start by placing 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum of three dollars on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have 6 on the game table, pull off four so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth round.

If you do not win on the first round, you take a hit of one. A win on the initial round followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of two. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the third provides you with a take of two. And success on the initial three with a defeat on the fourth means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you are able to lose the second bet 5 instances for each favorable streak of four bets and still are even.
